Any chance of a A&M; label anthology-with all of the great singles (one hit wonder and otherwise) released through the 60's and 70's?

I''ll second that. And we suggested it here a few months ago, too. Great minds... I wouldn't so much want an "all hits" compilation--I'd also want a few lesser-known tracks to present a history of A&M; over the years. Rudy, chief cook and bottle washer from A&M; Corner.

I absolutely agree! There are so many wonderful A&M; albums currently out of print that deserve CD life! How about a three disc set commemorating the heroes and "nobodies"? The usual suspects (Carpenters, etc) should logically appear but there should also be songs like:
Bell & James: Livin' It Up (On A Friday Night)
Tony Camillo's Bazuka: Dynomite! (Pts 1 & 2)
Tarney-Spencer Band: No Time To Lose
Strawbs: Part Of The Union
Hudson-Ford: Worlds Collide
Murray Head: Say It Ain't So
Garland Jeffreys: Wild In The Streets
Paul Williams: Just An Old Fashioned Love Song
Gallagher & Lyle: International
Lon & Derek: Who Do You Out Do
Claudine Longet: Here, There & Everywhere
Chas Jankel: Ai No Corrida
I'd do it FOR FREE and WRITE THE LINER NOTES too!

Yeah, but, we also need an Anthology of the A&M; Artists who ONLY made '45's, like Larry Marks, Rick & Donna Jarrard, Terrible Tom, Barbara Keith, The Sweet Bippies, Pieces Of Eight, London Phogg, Robert John, Sisters Love, Frank Gorshin ("The Riddler"), Terry Stafford...etc.
They should be available in a Volume-Series, and offer "something for everyone" like the 'Have A Nice Day' and 'Didin't It Blow Your Mind?' Series did...
An' if you don't like ALL The Tracks, or they don't ALL Float Your Boat...wuelll, ya can't please EVERYONE, then...!! --J.E.G. http://www.outlawsmc.com/

An anthology of singles-only A&M; artists seems like an impossible dream. I'd buy it if only for one my all-time 60s faves, "Little Girl Lost and Found" by The Garden Club.

Dont forget the 1974 single from Rick James called "My Mama" .... would love that on CD - he never had an album for A&M...;
