Only a couple of Sergio Mendes & Brasil '66 albums are currently in print: Equinox and look Around. The original albums are very short, so maybe a twofer if they're reissued. The same with Chris Montez. Viva sixties A&M; bossa-lounge!

ALL of the Brasil '66 albums are in print on CD in Japan, including the Japan-only "Live at Expo '70" album. Also, three of Chris Montez's four A&M; albums are in print on CD in Japan, the missing one being "Foolin' Around."

CHRIS MONTEZ had more than enough hit pop songs to more than warrant a deluxe edition issued on c/d from A&M; Records. Besides his big hit, "Let's Dance", he also had in the mid-1960s some consistently popular hits and timelessly appealing covers of standard songs such as his singles "Call Me", "The More I See You", "There Will Never Be Another You", "Time After Time", "The Very Thought Of You" and "Our Love Is Here To Stay". Would love to see CHRIS in performance again. If anyone has any updates....

Update:

As of September 28th, FOOL ON THE HILL is once again in print in the US. It's on Universal's Verve/A&M; label, packed in a Digipak that mimics the original gatefold sleeve, and has been remastered.

OMG! U were a very fortunate one.

CHRIS M: "The Very Thought Of HIM"
JUDY C: "SHE's So Fine"

Thanx, GJB, for letting us know Mr. MONTEZ and Miss CHIFFON are alive, well and performing!!
