Emitt Rhodes''''s self-titled album must be available on CD once more. Released on Dunhill in 1970, reissued on MCA/One Way in the ''''90s, then pretty much left to rot in the vaults, this album is just a flat-out pop masterpiece.
Not much has been heard from it in the past few years, aside from the one-minute "Lullabye" being used in "The Royal Tenenbaums." Trust me, on this one, though... it''''s the best album Paul McCartney never recorded. (A few people were even convinced that it was actually a Beatles record stolen from the studio and released under a different name...)
He released two more albums after that, both classics in their own right...
Please reissue this great LP.
