Do you guys possibly have access to the Oliver catalog? I know there was a planned compilation in 1997 that never got released. Why? There is absolutely NO Oliver on cd, it's ridiculous.

Yeah, shoot us that reissue of 'Oliver' and 'Oliver, Again'...!!

Good to hear great stuff like "Twelfth Of Never',' The Arrangement', 'Angelica', 'Leavin' On A Jet Plane', not to mention the definitive 'Good Morning Starshine' and the classic version of 'Jean'!

Loved his version of "Ruby Tuesday" on the first album, his self-penned "Comfort Me," "Young Birds Fly" and "Buddy" on his second album, "I Can Remember," the trippy "The Picture of Kathleen Dunne" and the full-out "Angelica" also on the second album and "Firelight" on the third album (which was on UA rather than Crewe Records).

It is time to issue a complete collection of Oliver, with at least the first two albums -- plus outtakes and unissued tracks -- if not the third.

Yeah, The Arrangement is THE coolest. Also, Letmekissyouwithadream. His 3rd and final album PRISMS on UA is supposed to be his best, actually. Haven't acquired that one.....yet.

Oliver! had a popular hit as a famous "Song of The Stonewall" in the Spring of 1969. A comprehensive and all inclusive Oliver! c/d is inexplicably (despite dueling labels) over-overdue. Whatever happened to Oliver?

Jean & I agree with everything stated by Jeg, Century and Rob68 (as in 1968?).

Er, a moment of silence for the late, Oliver Swofford, who i think is really no longer with us, born on Feb. 20, 1945 and, I think who died in 1991...

Peace...! ...J.E.G.

Seen it...And HEARD It!! Best and most trippy version of "For What It's Worth", this side of Cher and Sergio Mendes & Brasil '77, covering it, too...

Oliver died probably closer to 1998. He was indeed performing right up to his death, his last public performance was at a church function 2 weeks before his death.

OMG! Sadly, it occured at all. Actually, it was in 2000.

WILLIAM "Bill" OLIVER SWOFFORD was born on February 22, 1945 and died from cancer while still 54 on February 12, 2000 in Shreveport, Louisiana.

I, like most, because of Oliver's name and even his sound, always thought he was British. At a time of the popular British sound, it certainly increased his appeal.

Now, knowing of Oliver's departure makes it all the more surprising that there has been no compact disc collection of his impressive songbook including two really top -- almost #1 -- "Top 10" songs.
