They more than deserve it! THE SHANGRI-LAS have more than enough hit songs such as "Remember, Walking In The Sand", "Give Him A Great Big Kiss", "Out In The Streets", "Give Us Your Blessings", "I Can Never Go Home Again", "Long Live Our Love" and, of course, "Leader Of The Pack", among others. Included in "THE SHANGRI-LAS Deluxe" would be all of their original "A" sides (about 20), popular "B"sides, alternate versions, previously unreleased, "live", radio commercials, etc. I wouldn't be surprised if -- in the vaults -- they had THE SHANGS' versions of everything from "Satisfaction" to "The Sound Of Music". Now that THE SHANGRI-LAS' catalogue is under the umbrella of UMG, the right thing should be done: release! release! release!
