Hi there
Am I right in thinking that A) Chess falls under the Universal umbrella and that B) this legendary, tragically departed soul legends' original albums have never appeared on CD? It would be great to see these out on twofers or even Select Direct reissues, possibly with another "album" styled like the others mopping up singles and rarities. I recently fell in love with this man's fine recordings and i think it's time he was treated with respect.

Right on both counts, Tom. I recommend the 20-track ONE MORE TIME collection on Chess if you don't already have it - should cost about the same as the more recent (but only 11-track) MILLENNIUM COLLECTION.

Yes. That it is a good suggestion. Let's get all of Billy's albums out through Hip-O Select. His catalogue has been neglected for far too long. I'd make a special plea for his classic "I Do Love You" album. Ivor

I second that! There are 5 or 6 Best Of (including the european ones), all of them obviously overlapping, while the man only had time to release 3 LPs. That's silly. Let's see a complete Billy Stewart on a 2-CD set!
