We, the Motown fans, really are most fortunate to have on c/d: "THE SUPREMES in Japan", "THE TEMPTATIONS in Japan" and "THE JACKSON 5 in Japan". 
Somebody's missing! Guess who? Keep an eye....

Seeing as how Martha's live in Japan was on the opposite side of Stevie's "Live In Japan".. it cannot be released until Stevie signs off on it. Unless they happen to seperate Martha's part off the album and release it in another format. I'd be for that, since I've heard it is difficult to get Stevie to agree to re-releases of old material, he feels it competes too much with his new product. I actually don't agree with that asessment, because the hard core fan would be the only one who buys things like "Live In Japan", and those type of fans buy EVERYTHING he puts out... I would hope someone at some point has pointed this out to him.

"STEVIE WONDER: THE DEFINITIVE COLLECTION", no doubt, as even though it is not new songs it is new product. It's significant, too, as it is currently one of Motown's marquee promotions, as U know.
STEVELAND needs to be less selfish and silly re: his classic Motown catalog particularly when, as stated by DS, that it interferes with MRV! 
U boyz know the Vandella answer: Miss MARTHA directly call SW and find out what's up w/ "MRV in Japan!" I'll call the "Black Rose" tonite (I owe her one anyway) and ask. I'll post the 411 asap (MRR may be on the road). 
One of my pals posted on the MBB a very recent Detroit I/V w/ Diva REEVES where she was presented 3 "Vandella" roses and she proudly declared (for the press): "My middle name is ROSE". Miss MR did not used to do that.

"Watchout!" Seemingly, Diva REEVES may be outta town (hopefully in concert). However, I was able to leave a direct message Sat. eve and detailed about the interest at Hip-O-Select in "MRV in Japan" -- and the WONDER connection. (After all, SW's appearance Wed. eve at the Billboard Music Awards could be "Wonder-cotted".) At last, Miss MARTHA got "telephone privacy manager" on her phone, allowing messages only from recognizable numbers! Tonite, however, her voice mail was full! Stay tuned....
