Out of all the Motown stuff to have already come out, NONE of High Inergy's albums have ever been released, nor has there even been a compilation cd of their songs--minor r&B; hits that they were. Motown girl groups rule & these ladies had some great voices. Each one of their albums is good in it's own right & remastered two-fers on cd with bonus cuts (there must be many of them) would be most welcome. Anyone agree with me??

Absolutely! I've always been amazed that their debut album "Turnin' On" has never made it to CD bearing in mind it was a fairly strong seller and contained their top 20 pop hit "You Can't Turn Me Off". Ivor

I fully agree, JB, this is another odd case of Motown neglect by omission. Slowly, M-town seems to be catching up with releasing overdue music on c/d.
These girls were billed at the time as the "Newest Supremes" and "Motown Today", etc. They even re-did a 1960's SUPREMES' song, "Back In My Arms Again" as well as a 1970's SUPREMES' song, "Let Yourself Go"! They did a lively and memorable performance on the incredible "Motown 25" t.v. special with their hit "He's A Pretender", alternating songs with the other hot, young Motown group then (1983), DeBarge ("All That Love").
By the way, let's presume that "HIGH INERGY" -- with only one letter stylishly adjusted -- was named after the '70s SUPREMES' album and song title of just the previous year (1976). It appears that in 1977, Motown simply passed the girl group torch from THE SUPREMES to HIGH INERGY. Amazingly, the latter went on to rival the former in number of albums!
With at least nine (9) Motown albums, spanning almost a full decade, why aren't HIGH INERGY on a double compact disc yet? C'mon, MO-town!

Err.....whilst they certainly re-did "Back In My Arms Again" in '83, High Inergy's "Let Yourself Go" was a totally different song to the Supremes' one of the same name. Ivor

Whenever I see ur "errr....", consider it corrected.
Motown has one girl group end and the other begin simultaneously in the same year and then names a song for the new girlgroup that is the same name of a song for the old group but a different song. That was definitely part of Motown '77. Want more proof? Name DIANA's big hits in 1977? None! High Inergy also recorded The Supremes' last top-40 hit, "I'm Gonna Let My Heart Do The Walking" which was later released on a promo-only LP.
