OK, I got an email yesterday from HW in which he said that there will be AT LEAST one new Supremes release this fall; MAYBE TWO!
So what would the second one be?
Any informed guesses out there???

Hi Ivor! We meet again.
I have no idea, I was just wondering what other members think on the subject.
I know that 'Right On' is remastered and that bonus tracks are in place... but who knows if it's all ready for release at this time?
I've heard so far that 'Live in Japan' is one of the two, and I believe that the other release is a "Direct Select" or whatever they call it (no extras, just the original re-released album remastered on CD).
I'm excited no matter what the releases turn out to be!

Maybe the "Jimmy Webb" album if it's from the 70s or "We Remember Sam Cooke" if it's from the 60s as I don't believe there's much unreleased stuff from either of those album sessions. Ivor

I want Jimmy Webb! (The album, not the talented songsmith, although I guess he could still write me something... )

"We Remember Sam Cooke" has been issued on CD already.
Some cuts from the Jimmy Webb album have been issued in alternate and/or cut versions. I don't mind having these as additional items, when they come after an album's issue on CD, but it is more important to hear albums issued on CD initially as they were first heard on vinyl. The original sounds are the ones we came to know and enjoy; they are the ones that caused us to be fans and to stay fans, looking forward to the next release.
I would like "Produced and Arrranged by Jimmy Webb" and "The Supremes (The Pink Album)" to be the next '70s Supremes albums to be released.
And of course I'd like Mary Wilson's album, as well as Jean Terrell's A&M; album.
And "Everything Is Everything," "Last Time I Saw Him," etc.

What is "The Pink Album"? I've never heard of this one before. I've never heard any Supremes album referred to as "The Pink Album".
Are you referring to "New Ways But Love Stays"?

I was referring to "The Supremes" from 1975, as it has pink floral framing front and back...sorry for confusing anyone...

OH! The album where they look like they're "working girls" in a 1930's bordello! (I always hated that album cover because it made them look like they work for a madam.)
When you said "pink album" I immediately thought you were referring to "New Ways..." because it's the only one with a pink cover, but I didn't know why you didn't call it by name. OK, the confusion is cleared up.
The medication makes me get confused over little things like that! LOL

You could probably have Jimmy Webb if you wanted him, but it wouldn''t be legal in California since they made the new ruling. LOL

The second SUPREMES release this autumn is....
Wait a minute! Imagine two SUPREMES' albums in just one season, 35 years later?! It's like Motown & DIANA ROSS & THE SUPREMES in 1968 and 1969 deja vu -- in addition to all the product of other seasons in the very same year. It's incredible!
.... and the answer must be (based on official statements from Motown): "Where Did Our Love Go" Deluxe -- in time to give as Xmas/Chanukah gifts. See Supremes, Tempts, Vandellas, Shangri-Las, Ronettes, Sinatra, Marvelettes, 4 Tops, Judy!, et al.: www.STONEWALLvets.org/songsofStonewall-5.htm
