THE SHANGRI-LAS have been on c/d several times; however, never in a two-disc or a deluxe version nor with any unreleased songs. They more than deserve it! THE SHANGRI-LAS have more than enough hit songs such as "Remember, Walking In The Sand", "Give Him A Great Big Kiss", "Out In The Streets", "Give Us Your Blessings", "I Can Never Go Home Again", "Long Live Our Love" and, of course, "Leader Of The Pack", among others. Included in "THE SHANGRI-LAS Deluxe" would be all of their original "A" sides (about 20), popular "B"sides, alternate versions, previously unreleased, "live", radio commercials, etc. I wouldn't be surprised if -- in the vaults -- they had THE SHANGS' versions of everything from "Satisfaction" to "The Sound Of Music". Now that THE SHANGRI-LAS' catalogue is under the umbrella of UMG, the right thing should be done: release! release! release! NBC-TV has reported that they have released another DVD of the popular "American Dreams" television shows, which always include a musical segment recreated from the 1960s.
